Cargo skirt love, embracing this versatile fashion staple

Because of the bad, wet and cold summer we are having here, I can at least wear my cargo winter skirt! Look, there’s always a bright side! Of course I already wore this skirt last winter, you can see that here. But now I wore it on a grey summer day, although you can see a tiny bit of blue there. Which we have seen more often than a blue sky, it really is a terribly disappointing summer! I sound like an English woman( only wish!), I’ll stop talking about it….

I don’t wear this linen blouse very often. I think the colour is beautiful, but bright colours bore me very quickly. And I actually like this colour pink best on red, I will also wear it on this skirt. But I hadn’t worn it yet this season and I wanted to wear these pink sandals. But I actually think a white t-shirt with white sneakers goes better with the cargo skirt. I didn’t feel like wearing that, that day. And what’s more, pink and green match perfectly. The colours of nature.

I’m not into the cargo style. But every now and then I find something that I think is cool enough, such as this skirt but also these cargo trousers. We see this trend every season and I am not even sure if it is trendy at the moment, who cares anyway, (well, I do….a bit). And I think my American friends are more a fan of cargo clothing then we are here in Europe. Also is the case with kimono’s. We almost never see kimono’s here on the streets, and they are hardly available in shops. While I see a lot of American bloggers wearing them. So I am hoping a lot of you can appreciate this cargo skirt!

Wearing colour for a change

These sandals are so lovely, I mean 3 shades of pink, what’s not to like. Whenever I am drawn to colourful items, I find myself wearing it not often enough. Because, of course, I feel much more comfortable in dark colours. But I can see that colours are uplifting and I get much more compliments when I wear colour then when I wear black. But I dress for myself of course.

So I only wear colour when I really really want to, hahaha. I did buy a monochrome green and pink outfit this season though! I am wearing a lovely statement necklace with a dragonfly with the cargo skirt outfit. And a leather olive green bracelet. I love leather bracelets, especialy when they have studs. I’ve outgrown the spikes…..
