Aren’t black trousers always effortless chic? And I’m not talking about ripped or combat trousers. But just simple black trousers. Nothing special, nothing that turns heads. And yet!
How often do you see women walking around with simple black trousers at a more formal occasion? It can radiate anything. Elegance, aloofness, businesslikeness, sexiness. But it is always effortless chic. Well, that is to say, it just depends on how you style the look of course. But chic is less, in my head…..
Effortless chic in cropped trousers
Cropped trousers are not really trendy. At least not this season. But I always like them better than full length ones. Especially when the weather gets warmer and you can go outside without socks and tights. I have had these trousers for a while, but I have not yet shown them on my blog yet. So today you are treated to my effortless chic look. Wink.
Why is it an effortless look? Because with simple black trousers you don’t have to think about what you wear with it. A blouse and ankle boots, a sweater with sneakers! It all looks effortless chic. As long as you don’t cover yourself with accessories. Because effortless chic is also simple for me. This is of course my definition of it, it doesn’t have to be yours of course.
How to look chic and elegant in a instant
So what do I wear with these simple black trousers. By the way, I wore these a lot last winter with black ankle boots and a black sweater, ……and even for me that felt a bit too simple…yes it’s possible…
I am wearing a new leopard print blouse, viscose, wears wonderfull. Bought it when I went shopping a few weeks ago with girlfriend Denise. That’s also when I bought the light blue skirt. I have always loved a leopard print. I am wearing it with gold, yeah when I go wild I go wild….., layered necklaces and my favourite old Michael Kors bracelets. I am still in love with those bracelets, given to me for a birthday by Gerben, 9 years ago. And I love the trend of layered necklaces a lot.
The ring is from Brighton, a cute little store in The Lanes, handmade. When you are in Brighton I can recommend shopping in The Lanes. Lot’s of small independent shops, second hand shops, cute little restaurants etc. But I am prejudiced because I adore Brighton, especially the pier. Yeah I know…..it’s old, it’s dated, but that is the charm of it! The sandals are Tamaris, old, but they are so nice to wear. So, that’s my effortless style look in cropped black trousers!
