But is it really a fashionista’s dilemma or are we just passionate about clothes? I have to say that this season, or actually seasons, spring is already over after all, I have not bought much new clothes. This is due to that very cold and wet spring. I have also learned in the meantime not to buy something new too soon in the season. Why have I learned that now, at the age of 57? Why is it so hard to listen more with the head instead of the heart when it comes to fashion?
A fashionista’s dilemma
So, why not buy early in the season? Because 1: It might be weeks, even months this spring, before you can actually wear it because of the weather. And I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen something much more beautiful then what I already bought by the time I can wear it. Point 2: First take a good look in your closet. For example, I often want to order a top and then I have an almost similar one hanging in my closet already. And isn’t it a bit decadent to buy something just because the shade is a little different? Is that a fashionista’s dilemma?
And why are we women so eager to buying something new? Have we really gotten tired of the clothes we have so quickly? I just think like this: you only live once. Buy it if you like it! It’s as easy like that, it’s not going to get any deeper here on my blog, lol. It’s not a fashionista’s dilemma! We just are passionate about clothes and being passionate about something is a good thing. Unless you are passionate about murdering…….where is that comming from…..I am watching to many British detectives…..
Soooo, it finally became dry and warm weather here in the Netherlands. And I still didn’t have much new in my closet. And I had something in the online shopping cart for weeks. Soooo, click! And it was on its way to my address! That’s what I showed you last week! But I do have to show a new tee! Number 3 of the 4 black ones……but all different.
Something new, something old…
Old because the skirt is pre loved and you might have seen it a few weeks ago. The t-shirt with lovely puff sleeves is new, but bought months ago and this is the first time I am wearing it. But that is just fine, because it’s black! And I never get bored by black clothing! Can you see the cute flowers on the sleeves?
White sneakers because I wanted to wear sneakers under this skirt. The colour combination is not perse a favourite of mine. Red is not even a colour I like to wear. But I have my (colour) moments. Still, when I wear colour I like a monochrome look the best. I love the earrings I am wearing here, so super summery. And black and white bracelets that are very very old. One new item, very frugal for a fashionista!
My Fancy Friday Favourite of last week is: Tilden of To Be Bright
