After all the colours of the past few weeks, I’m ready to show you a black shirtdress. I’m actually not a fan of shirtdresses at all. I don’t really know why. I think I usually find them unshapely. And since I already have a unshapeless figure, such a dress does nothing for me. But I was doing some shopping at Zara, online, and scrolling around when I saw this black shirtdress. I thought, I’ll add it in my cart and then see how the it works. Well, you see, I kept it!
Black shirtdress in all her simplicity
What I like so much about this black shirtdress is that you can tighten it at the waist, which gives you a little more figure. And while I often see other women wearing a shirtdress over trousers or skirts, I never liked that look. But I’ve already tried it with this skirt and I think it looks great on a black skirt! So I can also wear it in fall with a shirt underneath. And I will show you soon how I wore it with boyfriend jeans.
I’ve decided that my hideous upper arms won’t bother me anymore. I am not going to try to hide them anymore. You just have to do with it. I exercise 4 times a week, I apply body lotion twice a day, I’m almost 58, I am done! So I bare my ugly arms, I’ll go sleeveless if I want to!
How I love black and gold!
I think gold and black are one of the most beautiful combinations and I fell head over heels for these cuffs. Since I got my tattoo I no longer wear a watch, ring or bracelets on that arm. I think that distracts too much from the tattoo and looks too much for me. Yes, minimalist at heart! That’s me. But I am making a exception for these beauties. Gosh I love cuffs and these are so very pretty. Simple, golden, and easy to wear.
I wanted to wear golden sandals with this dress, but I think I already sold them…. I make decisions to quick, I am very impulsive. And I have often that I regret that I sold something or gave it away. Oh well, that’s life for me. These sandals will do. They feel like wearing slippers, so good. This black shirtdress needs some accessories, so multiple necklaces and golden loops are needed. I am very happy with this dress and my arms didn’t bother me at all. Progress!!
