The Super 8 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is kicked off by the United States of America and South Africa in Antigua. In the beginning, South Africa started in a great way and put up quick runs on board. Especially the way Quinton de Kock and skipper Aiden Markram build a solid partnership, that boosts a lot of runs for South Africa. They put up a big total in front of the USA players to chase. In the innings break, Aiden Markram shared his thoughts about their batting.

After South Africa’s innings ended, South Africa’s skipper Aiden Markram caught up in the mid-innings and talked about the game and the score they put up on board.

Skipper Aiden Markram said, “ We will take it (total). Decent wicket, it changed throughout from first ten to the last ten overs. We would have taken it (the total) at the start of the game if we were offered 190+. We’ve been lacking that (partnership at the top). Nice to have a partnership with him and set it up. They bowled pretty well in the latter half, credit to them. Happy for the top order to eventually contribute. Hopefully two spinners can get a bit more out of the pitch. Definitely stopped a bit more in the second half. Strong breeze to the short side has to be in the tactics.”
