I remember a pink outfit when I ordered this one. It must have been about 30 years ago and was bought at H&M, when it still sold really cool clothes. I think I’ve mentioned it before, but back in the day……there was a very small H&M in Arnhem when they just opened stores in the Netherlands. At that time I went to town every week for shopping and lunch. On my own, I loved that. And I quickly became a fan of this little shop. They really sold very special clothes back then. I wish I had photos of all those outfits I loved so much.
Pink party
But today’s outfit reminded me of so long ago when I bought a checked mini skirt with pink and black, a pink sweater, almost the same as this one, and black suede boots up to the knee. And I also can remember I called myself Miss Piggy, as I normally wore black and now pink. And I had Miss Piggy hair….
Do you remember outfits from a long time ago that you loved? Which you would like to wear again? I think if those outfits were in front of me, I wouldn’t actually wear them. It was part of that time. Now you might be wearing something similar, but translated to today.
Summer is for colour! Well, at least now and then……
The same goes for this outfit. I may not be wearing black with it, but it is monochrome pink. The skirt is neoprene. Very heavy and quite thick. More of a skirt for the fall, but I don’t think I would wear this colour in that season. Probably next spring. And on the cooler summer days. But for the moment we have really lovely summer temperatures here, so the skirt is a bit to warm.
I can only wear this shade of pink if I am a bit tanned by the sun. It’s too light for me, but now it’s good. (I can recommend a online colour analysis to know your colours!) The skirt has pockets which is great. The peeptoes have been around for several seasons. You could already read here that I love peeptoes. Of course, my pink statement ring couldn’t be missed. And the dragonfly necklace. It took a while before I actually started wearing it, accessories are often too much for me, but on such a monochrome pink outfit I think it’s okay! And my tattoo matches perfectly!
