In a move to engage with its fashion-hungry customers, Victoria Leeds has staged its first-ever Fashion Week, resulting in a sell-out runway show.

The Redical-operated retail centre launched a programme of events to showcase its “continual commitment in creating an enhanced customer experience and engaging with its affluent catchment area”.

To kickstart the week, Victoria Leeds hosted the catwalk show at Victoria Quarter, with over 200 people in attendance with a further 12,000 viewers streaming live.

It featured the latest season’s styles from both higher-end brands and high-street retailers, “reaffirming the destination’s position as the leading, premium retail destination in Leeds”.

The opening night runway presentation of Spring/Summer 2024 trends, drew “inspiration from celebrated designers”. Sicilian Summer from Harvey Nichols opened the show followed by various scenes from Coastal Classics and red-themed Rosso, to Western Rebel and Noir featuring Boodles jewels.

After the show, guests were entertained at a Harvey Nichols Fourth Floor Brasserie exclusive afterparty.

The Fashion Week event also included the centre’s ‘Shop the Looks’ campaign across social media, featuring all the items from the show, “making it simple for shoppers to recreate the styles on display”.

Participating brands including John Lewis, Sweaty Betty, Gang and Daniella Draper, also offering exclusive deals on fashion and beauty.

With the event so far raising £2,000 in donations to Smart Works, the UK-based charity is also hosting a pop-up shop in Victoria Gate across 14-16 June, featuring clothes from many brands. Proceeds from the temporary store will also directly benefit the charity.
