A very summery theme, shorts! But I have to be honnest, I don’t wear them in public. I am not a huge fan of trousers, give me a skirt and I am a happy girl. And shorts feel like trousers that have to be finished yet. Do I make sense? No of course not. Anywayssss, I’ll bet there are numerous women who look damn good in shorts.
Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series in February 2018, but we had been working together a year previous. So you can say we really like to host these series! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join us. The more the merrier!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
It is a collage of outfits from all different women! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We’ll keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc.
But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!
So let’s start with The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Shorts!
First my dear blogging friend and co-host Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge
I picked up these darling little denim overall shorts at my local consignment shop a few years ago. I thought they were super cute but ended up only wearing them once because they are totally impractical and not very comfortable at all. I recently said Good-Bye to them when I passed them onto my niece. She will rock them, for sure!

This is my only pair of bermuda and when I style them right, I love them!
Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style
It’s shocking to me how many times I wear shorts now that I’m “of a certain age”, haha.
This red lacy pair is one of my faves from Goodwill. They are short, but the shape looks more like a skirt to me.
And once I decided to embrace my imperfect legs, I found more variety in my looks.
Joanne of Slices of Life
I love these linen shorts from Old Navy so much! They cost me less than $10 and I have had them for several summers now. They have been such a good buy. They are nice and cool in the summer and seem to go with everything I own.
And here are my shorts
I don’t wear shorts anywhere then at home. Or only when it is superhot and we go cycling. But this is how it looks like. With simple slippers and a simple tee, no accessories, but very comfortable.
I love these shorts. They are 4 years old and the colour isn’t what it originally was anymore. But I love the asymmetric front and the deep pockets. Definitely a very Good Buy!
