I slipped into a local J.Jill store last week. Since J.Jill has a 30% off sale, I thought this would be the perfect time to put it on the blog. Today’s winter try-on with J.Jill has something for everyone since they are size-inclusive.
Winter Try On With J.Jill
Fringe Cardigan and Jeans
This was one of my favorite outfits! I love the long fringe cardigan because it is so unusual.
Here is a close-up look at the cardigan. You can see the texture and the thick fringe. I’m wearing a medium and would still have enough room for a lightweight sweater underneath.
Country Vibe
I was surprised that I liked this gray and red cardigan. It has a “country” vibe, which is not usually my vibe.
This is fairly lightweight so that you could wear it now. I loved the look with the light gray trouser jeans. I’m wearing a medium in the shirt/jacket, and my usual size 8 in the jeans.
Feeling Gray With J.Jill
I kept on the gray flare trouser jeans, but changed into an embroidered hoodie cardigan. This cardigan is a much heavier weight, so it would work great for those who live in colder climates.
I think the hoodie is a cute feature, and the embroidery adds a touch of whimsy. I’m wearing a medium, which fits great.
Snowflake Sweater and Gray Trouser Jeans
I love gray this year, so I grabbed this snowflake sweater to try on. It is perfect for those who want to look festive, but don’t want to wear red, silver, gold, etc.
You can see from this photo it is nubby and has lots of texture. I’m wearing a medium, which fits fine.
Fair Isle Sweater
This is another favorite of mine. I love Fair Isle sweaters, and this color combination looks great together. I loved pairing it with the ivory corduroy pants. Here is a great example of how to wear white/ivory/cream for fall and winter.
Here is a good view of the Fair Isle pattern. I’m wearing a medium, and I have plenty of room for a button-up shirt to be worn underneath.
Reversible Teddy Jacket
I’m wearing a column of color with an ivory tank and corduroy pants. I added the reversible teddy jacket to the look, and I’m kind of obsessed with the look.
You can wear the teddy fleece inward to keep you warm, or outward for a different look. It is super cute and warm, and the medium fits great.
Textured Sweater For Winter
Light purple isn’t a color that I would associate with winter, but it works! This sweater was very soft and flowy feeling, and I liked the textured sides.
Here is a better view of the textured side. I’m wearing a medium, which is perfect for me.
Trending Color For Winter – Red
Red is the color that is trending this winter. I love red, and it looks good on me. But, for some reason, I don’t have much of it in my closet. I love the feel of this tee, so it came home with me.
I added this red tweet jacket and boyfriend jeans to the tee. This makes a great casual holiday look, but you could dress the blazer up if you wanted. The medium jacket fits great, and the boyfriend jeans are slightly relaxed but not baggy.
