After Axar Patel (20) got out, Suryakumar Yadav walked out to bat and it seemed that he would step up big time for his team and take them to a big total. He came out to bat after the team lost three wickets and it was expected that he would bail the team out of trouble.
But it wasn’t the case as Suryakumar Yadav’s torrid run continued against Pakistan. The batter bagged another low total against the arch-rivals and with his wicked India came under immense pressure at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
Suryakumar Yadav started pretty well as he hit a gorgeous straight drive but he couldn’t carry on as he perished to Haris Rauf in the 12th over of the game. The pacer bowled a fullish ball to which the batter tried to play the shot on the rise.
Suryakumar Yadav hit the toe-end of the bat and hit the ball straight to mid-off. He had to move his leg a bit to get a clean downswing of the bat and In the process ended up holding the bat soft and it turned in his hands to go to mid-off.
Suryakumar Yadav managed just 7 runs off 8 balls and with his wicket India were left tottering 89/4. His scores against Pakistan read 11, 18, 13, 15 and 7.
